Our Story

Paromita Banerjee

Founder

Your search for the finest Indian handlooms and handcrafted products from skilled artisans across India ends at Elezara. MBA & Law graduate Paromita and Geoscientist Souvik, two diametrically opposite in profession but surprisingly synchronised in passion, came together, and Elezara was born! The duo spent many years in corporates with leading multinational companies and became evangelists of luxury handlooms and crafts through their journey to many cultural cities in India. We strive to promote and preserve centuries-old fascinating traditions and bring them to the global arena. We hope that our efforts will help revive old techniques, improve livelihood and offer new opportunities for communities dependent on crafts for survival.

Elezara makes our legacy alive by creating authentic and pure items, which can be gone through ages, from a mother to a daughter & many more generations afterwards. We acknowledge theTrousseau of an Indian woman considered incomplete without exquisite handloom fabric. Weproduce such material, woven using the age-old tradition of Varanasi with intricate designs.

“We don't create just sarees; we create treasures that can be kept for generations to come.”
Where the market and its sellers are mostly shifting towards the power loom section and artificial silk, we at Elezara are keeping the heritage alive, providing the netizens with the purely handwoven Banarasi silk sarees, keeping the culture alive. It’s a great privilege for the Elezara to present a glimpse of the excellence that has shaped the nation’s artistic heritage. The handwoven sarees displayed on our website draw inspiration and depicts class. Do try shopping at Elezara once, and we guarantee that you will come back to us again! See you soon on Elezara& Happy Shopping!
